The Printing Press

I think nowadays we take technology for granted, especially a simple thing like a printer. At work we have a large job due on Monday and all day I spent standing at the printer printing report after report after report. How did they do this in the old days...

Can any one think of any other simple piece of technology that take for granted and how something so simple can change our simple lives?

My fractured thumb

Hi bloggers

I have had a fantastic week this week. Its started like nay other Monday, I woke up, had a shower and then got dressed and went to work. Tuesday was the same, but the fine happened on Tuesday night. It as our action cricket night and the other team never pitched, so we decided to stuff around bad idea.....! It was the second last over of our stuff around came and I was the keeper. My mate bold the ball, I miss timed the ball and it hit me on the top of my thumb. At that stage I decided to act like a real man and suck up the pain, finish the game and have a drink with the boys at the same time telling myself that nothing is wrong with my thumb.

Well I woke up the next morning to find that my thumb had swollen and was blue on one side, still being the manly man I am, I went to work the whole day and bite my tongue when I hit my thumb against something. Well then I decided that maybe I should just have it checked out by the Doc to find out if everything was OK. I thought to myself that is is only a sprain, but when the X-rays got back I was wrong. Its was a fracture, a piece of bone (very small piece of bone). So know I have to wear a funny looking cast for the next three weeks, while my thumb heals. I am such an idiot

Half the week left.

Hi my blogger community, I am so tired and it is only half way through this week. I am sitting at my desk again staring at my laptop and my eyes have gone all crossed eyed. I was thinking last night how great it would be to just sleep in for like another four hours or so, but then a thought if I did I could loose my job.

OK this is how it goes. For the last couple of weeks I have been thinking on how we as humans can impact on the environment a little less. I came up with a solution, we just stop breathing and there is your solution to global warming. No humans no global warming. Ha Ha Ha.....! Only joking, I think. Now back to the point look around your house hold and think of what appliances use the most electricity and try and come up with solutions to maybe minimise their usage or invent something that will save electricity.

Here is one the Geyser. The geyser is one of the biggest contributors to our electricity bill each month. Approximately 30% of our electricity bill is from our geyser. Why is this so high? This is because of the heating element that is found inside your geysers, all appliances that use a heating element consume the most amount of electricity.

So here is the challenge I pose to the blogging community. Take the geyser for example and look at how it functions and try and think of solutions to minimise the use of your geyser to save electricity or come up with something completely different , its your world to decide.

Blog soon.....

And there where many more days in between

Hello.....

I know it has been a long time since my last blog, but I have been very busy at work it has been hectic. Just non-stop, do this and that and then leave the country to fly up Africa into Tanzania. WOW I lead a hard life. While I was on my way back from the land of animals and people, we drove through the Serengeti National Park. It was more like we drove on the boarder road of the Park, but i still got to see some animals.

The most amazing thing was that the road acted as a natural boundary, there were no fences. To the right were animals and to the left were people. The animals somehow knew if they crossed the road that they most likely would have become dinner that night. I think the people on the left also knew if they crossed the road into the park that there was some potential that they would have also become a light brunch for a hungry lion.

So this is my blog for today. Sorry to all my fans, I know it has been a while, but i will not let it be happen again. I promise and cross my heart. NEW BLOG COMMING SOON TO A COMPUTER SCREEN NEAR YOU....

The second day

Hi all in the blogging world, this is my second day doing this cool thing and it is all going really well.

Well the day has been really slow and dragging on. Even working really hard does not seem to make time travel any faster. It's funny through how so many of our lives revolve around work. We wake up, go to work, work and then go home again and the cycle starts over all again the next day . How cool is that......? We live in a box, drive to work in a smaller box and then work in another box to earn money that is held in another box called a bank. So the question is how do we break out of the norm and start to live life not through work, but through our hearts and souls.

Do we work to live or live to work, or is there something else that should drive us, feed us with the passion we need. I have the answer, but I am not going to give that away just yet.

So I guess I should go back to work. Yey!!!!!!!!!!
